Since its inception in 1988, First Sentier Investors has evolved into a global investment management business with funds under management of USD$156.3b (as of 30 June 2019) on behalf of an international client base that extends across Asia, Australasia, Europe and North America.
On 2 August 2019, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation acquired the business from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and they now operate as a standalone global investment management business. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.
