Funds update and returns
In a boost for its retail presence, the Legg Mason Brandywine Global Opportunistic Fixed Income Fund earned a AAA-rating from research house FundSource earlier this year. The well-deserved high rating from FundSource should help the Brandywine Global fund (already popular among wholesale clients) find further support from financial advisory groups.
Most recently, IIS launched the Antipodes Global Fund (PIE) and Antipodes Global Fund – Long (PIE), which have both received good support from wholesale investors and investment adviser groups. The Australian-based Antipodes has a strong reputation as an international equities manager.
The following table provides the performance of different IIS-hosted funds for the period ending 28 February 2019. Note that the performance in this table is gross of fees and tax, and will differ from the returns contained in our Fund Updates.
